Well I finally installed a couple more BECs this weekend on my scalers, been running one on my comp rig for awhile now. After the comp was over, I pulled out my scale FJ40, and after about 30 seconds it quit working :-( The green light on the BEC was out, so I unplugged it and ran the truck off the mamba 25's built in BEC for awhile. After running it for 10 or 15 minutes like this, I returned to my truck and pulled the BEC out of my comp rig, that one lasted 10 seconds or so in the FJ..... Now the BEC I installed on my scale jeep worked fine, both my comp rig and Jeep use a quark 33 esc. So here is my setup that killed two BECs 1400 8 cell pack BEC set for 6.2 volts, setup all my BECs this way. Novak Xxtra receiver, also run this receiver on my Jeep. Hitec 645MG, my other two rigs I had BECs on that day have Hitec robot servos. Holmes hobbies Crawlmaster outrunner R2 trans 1.9 rock stompers Total truck weight is around 8lbs, but the second bec died on the tail gate of my pickup. So I am thinking that something with the Mamba 25 is killing them. I have the red wire on the esc pulled, and I run the BEC into a adapter to eliminate the signal wire from it to the receiver. I have emailed Castle about this, but have not heard back from them yet. Also hoping to hear some ideas on what could be causing this, as I don't want to fry yet another BEC...

I actually had an issue with a Brand-New CC Bec as well. Just about 2 weekends ago, I hooked it up for a few minutes, working fine, then suddenly my servo went full lock, and the BEC light went out. The Servo, RX, 'were' brand-new, the ESC's voltage wire (positive) was pulled out. BUT, alas, the Servo was toast, and so was the CC BEC. I called them and they replaced the BEC for free, relatively quickly, but I did have to send in the old one. The servo was a 100% loss. At least they were willing to do their part to replace the BEC though.

Actually on this one, I don't have that pigtail lead... That was on the Jeep. I'll look over all my wires carefully tonight.

I burned one up I dont know why.. i hooked up 3(still working to this date) and then on the 4th one I hooked it all up turned it on drove it about 2 feet and the LED went out and it has been sitting on my desk ever sence.... I need to take it back to the LHS and see what they can do with it, where I bought and they programmed it can you send these back to CC and have them repaired?
