| ok I just bought an FM 3ch. Cirrus radio. I am wanting to use this for a dig setup on my 2.2 . I took it apart and there is only 2 wires going to the 3rd ch. button. How would I go about modding this so it will have 3 pos. As of now it puts the servo full left or full right with no nutral. It is a single button with 2 wires. push it and it makes the servo full stroke one way, then push it again and it will full stroke back the other way. sorry! yes this is a computer radio. After doing some research I have dicovered that this is a down graded Futaba 3pm. I have no manual for it as it was taken from an XTM RTR. I even got on Cirrus's web site and they have no info about it. Neither does Futaba But you can tell they are the actual makers of it. heres a pic of what I have! ![]() and a pic of a Futaba 3pm. the Cirrus doesn't have all the features of the 3PM.So I think I am stuck with a 2 position 3rd channel. Oh well I only paied $39.95 shipped for it. I will just use this on my sons 2.2 Clod and get a better one for my comp. rig. Last edited by bigflex; 06-04-2008 at 10:41 PM. | |

| You can find a MX3 cheap....that can be modded to a 3 position 3 channe. Or you can get a TQ3 pre-modded from some vendors. If you are going to have a bunch of rigs (More than 1) then you may want to look into a Spektrum DX6. These can be found pretty inexpensively...and the RX will not break the bank at $40-$50 each. The DX6 is also EASY to MOD yourself for improved battery life, gimbal springs, and internal antenna. For my entire DX6 setup including MODS and the RX I paid $150. The 3 position for the dig is achieved via mixing channels 5 & 6. The RX's that I have for my MX3 are 27mhz FM and via eBAY used they are costing $50. Rather have Spektrum at that cost. Just my 2 cents. |

I will be using this on my comp rig, rock racer, and maybe my 1.9 rig. It has 3 model memory so I should be good. I thought about the DX6 but I am not a big fan of stick radios. I had a TQ3 and it sucked. I did the mods myself and it worked well but they just glitch to much for my liking. One of these days I want to get either a Nomando or a DX3R but I have other things I need to spend that money on right now. Last edited by bigflex; 06-05-2008 at 11:26 PM. | |
