| Tekin FXR Pro or Novak Rooster Crawler
I am a new in crawler world and in this forum. I am going to build a crawler very soon and i need some suggestions on which of the 2 ESC better for crawling. What are the advantages and disadvantages between those two? What i have in mind right now is the Gmade Spider kit with two motor and two servo so which ESC is better for my setup. Thanks |

By two motors I am guessing your talking Clod (super)?? I have run both esc's and I would HIGHLY recommend the Tekin FXR I like to run 3 cell lipo power so the Rooster crawler won't handle it... I did run it on 7 cells and didn't have the power and wheelspeed I like with my super. Another good choice for the super is the Mamba Maxx. I would also recommend running a Castle BEC no matter which ESC you choose.

I think running 2 motors in parallel (like a clod) and on a 3 cell lipo would be over the FXR's specs. Tekin said we can run one 55t motor on 3 cell, but 2 may over do it. You would have to talk to them about that first. Two 55 turn motors in parallel is like running one 22.5 turn motor. The FXR is very smooth, tiny, easy to program and great drag brakes. I can't say anything for the novak because I haven't used one. |

Thank you for the response. I did ask tekin support and their response is "Our FXPro would most likely be the perfect candidate for you, it is capable of running two motors in a crawler. You are pretty safe running two 35t+ on 2s or 3s" so i think it is pretty safe. |

| I own both, so I can say first hand that the Tekin is a better choice. The Novak is a high quality ESC, but the Tekin beats it in 3 very important ways. 1) Smaller size...about half the size and weight 2) 3s lipo on crawler based rigs 3) Ability to program through PC with Hotwire Link I love Novak products, but in this case the Tekin is a better choice |

Just got my hands on the Tekin FX-R Crawler Combo with 55T motor and gotta say I am very impressed. - Nobody can match the postage stamp size - Not even lightly stressed at 2S can't wait to try it on 3S - Programming is the easiest on the market - Real freaking solder posts - for those guys that constantly moving stuff around you know this is handy. I also have the Novak Rooster but Highly recommend the Tekin. |

Cc Mamba! I Have 2 They Are Awesome! Killer Drag Brake. Sidewinder Is Ok But Not As Good. Novak Is Good For Racing. For Crawling Go For The Mm.
