Default Any Opinions on the JR XS3?

I know that Losi just came out with the LST, and I've been reading quite a few posts where these guys who already have a killer radio system are trying to get rid of the JR XS3 that comes with the LST straight from the factory. Might be able to pick them up for a really good price, pending how fast someone wants to get rid of it...either way, i've heard good things about the radio system.....now I'm just curious as to its use for Crawling. Any comments?

Hell, I don't even have a rig yet....just trying to prepare

A few guys over here in OZ land use them. They are a good cheap 3ch. You can do normal 4ws or Crab steer easily but I think it's limited to that.

I'm in the same boat, no rig but I have my radio...JR XS3. I was just playing around with it for the first time. I plugged the servo's in and was playing with the 3rd channel for rear steer. It has 3 buttons on the grip which you can configure in a number of ways. If rear steering is what you are after, you can have it 2 position(full left and full right), linear(each click left or right moves and holds the steering a bit at a time), or you can mix the 3rd channel with the front steering to have regular 4 wheel steering. Each channel has end point adjustments also. Big tires hitting your suspension links? Limit the travel. I think it will work great! I have the synthesized version(dial in whatever channel you want) so if I'm crawling with other guys, frequency clashes arent an issue for me.
Hope that helps.
