Default TQ3 with axial receiver?

Well my little Niece busteed my controller the other day, so I figured now is the time to hook up the TQ3 to this ride. I tried, but it will not work with my stock AXIAL receiver, or am I an idiot. If it does work, can you tell me how to set it up? What channel do I have to be on, and what are the specific settings.

Thanks
dIMa

I just took the setup out of my axial controller, and still no go.

Here are the current settings:
70/30
On the bottom I have it set to channel 1

Do I need anything else?

Thanks
