Exclamation My steering servo is on the fritz

I just got my brand new AX10 RTR yesterday and today, I ran it into a log and the servo suddenly lost power and would stick randomly while driving:-(. I bring it inside turn it on, all I hear is a whirring sound and the truck won't steer at all. Is the servo fried (before you say anything about the ESC, the truck moves forward and backward fine)? someone help out the noob (a.k.a.- me).

Can you turn the wheels manually? The whirring sounds like the servo is trying to find center, if the steering is bound up then that could be the problem. Or you may have busted the gears in the servo.

i believe it is the gears inside because they're all plastic and the truck is on a stand all wheels off the ground.

Thumbs down

okay, the gears got stripped and the electrical draw required for that speed of movement in the servo fried the ESC, now I have to get one of those too, great.
