Mamba Max, Holmes Outrunner, 3pk/2.4 fast issues

Posting for a friend,

My buddy has a tuber that is a 2.2. It is powered by a holmes hobby outrunner, mamba max esc, E flite 3 cell 800 mah lipo with the Futaba 3PK with 2.4 spread. Problem is, he has crap for steering and its a JR 9100 T. He currently does not have BEC on the rig? Any pointers would be appreciated, has a good 800.00 into.

He needs a BEC in a bad way.

Not a problem, with a 3 cell lipo the BEC on the Mamba Max diminishes to almost nothing.
