esc fan removal
 

I have a Novak Rooster ESC, and it works fine. I got it from a guy who raced 1/10 stadium trucks, so it has a fan wired to it...

I don't need the fan, nor do I want to mess with mounting it, or even look at it any longer... how can I take it off of the ESC? There's 2 wires coming from the inside of the ESC (a red and a black one...). Could I just cut those 2 wires and tape them up individually? I don't really want to have to open the case...

any help will be appreciated....
