4 cell 4200mah pack comparable to what??
 

I have a scale rig in the works right now, and space is very limited due to the interior, I want to use a 21.5 brushless system on it, and would like nice runtimes, what would a 4c 4200 battery pack be compared to in terms of performance and runtimes??

For example, is it comparable to a 3000mah pack??

This will be for a vintage scale beach runner, and would like nice speeds, but no where near blazing fast, and somewhat decent runtimes"thumbsup"

or can you point me to a good space saving lipo pack that would give me the performance of a 3300mah pack or above...

Depends on what Speed Control you are using. the maH will only give you a longer run time, the more cells you have, will give you a better jump when the throttle is pulled.

A 4 cell (4.8V) battery isn't gonna give you any power for a brushless motor. Most people are running 6-8 cells (7.2-9.6V) NiMh or 2-3 Cell (7.4-11.1V) Lipo. The maH rating deals with how much capacity that pack has (higher the number, the longer the runtime). If the battery that you are mentioning in a 4 cell Lipo (13.8V), then yeah, check your ESC and see if it can handle that many volts.

he was talking about 4 cell lipo, 14.8 volts "thumbsup" If space is limited, I would just use a smaller pack, try a 4 cell 3000mah pack, they are a little smaller and will give you the performance you require. look around on maxamps, they have all kinds of packs. just find the biggest pack that will fit in your crawler!

Not if he is going to use a Novak Brushless he isn't! 6-7 cells only 7.2v-8.4v is their limit.

Also 4S = 4 Lipo cells, 14.8v
while 4c = 4 NiMH cells, 4.8v

You need a minimum of 7.2 volts for the 21.5 motor. I would run a Lipo 2 Cell, giving you 7.4v. Lipos are smaller and much lighter than NiMH.

so like I was saying, go check out maxamps and find the BIGGEST 7.4v 2s lipo you can find that will fit "thumbsup"
