Default maximum power to my servo's?

I need all the power I can get to turn these new 40 series Rock Crushers.

I think Im only getting half the power I could be using.

My current setup consist of...

*2 cell li-po

*Mamba max ESC

* JR FM receiver

*2 into 1 splitter to feed both servos from 1 receiver port ( I think this is my main problem)

*2 JR st125 servos.

The mamba puts out 5v (?) and my splitter divides that to 2.5volts... I think.

What do I need to do to get 6 volts to my servos...

Thanks -Brian

Seems like I post this same answer 4 times a week, but.....................get a Castle BEC.

A MM doesn't have enough juice for 1 servo, much less 2. You guys really need to use the search feature. It's not just the voltage, it's the low amperage that it puts out.

Get the BEC, set it up for 6-6.5 volts and you're golden. It has up to a 10 amp output.

It takes a Castle Link to set the voltage so you'll need to buy or borrow one or get it from Holmes Hobbies on here and he'll set it for you for a very small fee. It comes default at 5.1 volts.

And your 5 volts doesn't get split into 2.5.

plug the cc bec + - wire to your servo and plug just the signal wire into the rx, this allows max power to the servo depending on what the cc bec is set at

???

How would the servo get a singnal to turn? the bec would, but not the servo. I guess I need a diagram.

Second, GET STRONGER SERVOS. a 125oz/in servo will get you by in a 2.2, but with 40's, your going to need at least 200oz/in of torque, preferably 300+.

Third, get a bec set to 6+volts

all of this and you are golden, and like scattman said, a Y only puts the two servo's in parallel, not series, so the voltage is the same. not halved.

Don't go skimpy on your servo's, TRUST ME. you will be alot happier with a couple of 80-115 dollar servers that rock and will last compared to a $20 servo that will last a couple of weeks.

Whoever said money doesn't buy happiness didn't play with r/c trucks!
