Default C rating question

I did a search and am still confused. I am running a Tekin FXR, CCBEC, Integy 65t motor, JR 8711 servo on my ax10. My question is, since I want a 3s 2100mAh or bigger battery, what C rating should I look for? I've read some that say 10-15 and some that say 20 or greater. What's the consensus?

I would say a 15c at least. I like to run 20c packs when possible.

I have seen people recommend 30A continuous because in a crawler you should never need that much amperage. With your 2100mAh lipo you find what C rating you want by taking the C rating (15) times battery Amps (2.1A) = 31.5A.

Double ditto. 30a continuous is a great starting point for a long lasting battery (cycle wise). The 65t won't quite need much more than a 20 or 25 amp pack, but the more overhead you have on your lipo the longer it will last.

Well I'll start shopping for at least a 15C pack. I appreciate the info.

generally its not hard or more costly to find a 20-25c pack. so you can better utilize it in the future and have a longer life i would keep it 20-25c
