Default GTB for crawling?

Hey,

Im pretty much a crawling noob from the UK. I raced 1/10th offroad competatively but have been forced to stop. So im taking up crawling, a side of the hobby that i have always wanted to try out.

Now i have all my racing gear and to avoid selling it all i am wondering if a novak GTB is OK for crawling? it will be going into a AX10 rig and probably on a 17.5T BL motor.

It isn't optimal, but it will work. In brushed mode the GTB does not have reverse, so you have to run a brushless motor. You will have some drag brake issues and a desire for more holding power with that setup, but it will get you going.

Ok, sounds good up to now. I am going to run BL but as it stands both my GTB's are set up with zero drag brake, not sure how the difference is felt from a race car to a crawler but im assuming any form of drag braking on a crawler is more apparent.
