Im at the proverbial fork in the road guys, and I could really use some feedback, opinions and ideas. I am fairly new to the RC Crawling world. I have had Nitro car, trucks, planes, and heli's for most of my life. But the entire world of SLOW and electric is slowly seeping in. I started crawling about 2 months ago and I havnt touched anything else since. I just recently became a full member of EAC and Team Sinastir and have made some really great friends. I have built, grinded, painted and pimped my rig to the max of my potential, so now it's time to increase the bar. Im about to add rear steering to my 2.2 unlimited rig, as well as a dig unit. I have a TQ3 radio, I have the stock AX10 radio and I have some older heli radios. What would It take to be able to make the dig and rear steer work with my TQ3 radio? I really like the way this radio feels in my hand. I know I can probably buy a newer/better radio, but i like to modify. If there is no choice, then i'll just have to buy a new radio. If it comes to this point, any suggestions? I have two crawlers and I would like to remain capable of using both rigs with same radio. I have been reading about monetary switches, pots, etc... (I have been using the search feature lol ) I must admit, there is a GREAT deal of information here, but not many people write from a (fairly) new crawlers point of view. This here is my current build, I dont know if you need any of this info: Chassis: http://www.teamsinastir.com/x5122infopage.html Tranny: http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=664 ESC: Stock AX10 Motor: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKUG5 Driveshafts: Stock AX10 Axles: Stock AX10 Steering Servo: Stock AX10 (Looking for suggestions on a better one) Last edited by Cooper; 07-05-2008 at 07:34 PM.

If you want independent rear steer then you're going to need a 4channel radio to also operate the dig. The TQ3 can be modified for either or but not for both.

I use a Hobbico CS170. I'm really happy with it. Its the same servo as the Hitec 5955, but without the ability to program it (a feature no one I know in the crawler world uses.)
