| all the paperwork says no, that being said I run a 2s lipo in my water proof 18mt in the winter and have submerged it several times with no problems and I have a 3s in my F350 and have submerged it a couple times ( not deliberately ) also no problems. I still wouldn't recommend it , I may be lucky and don't want you to come after me when your rig goes up in flames! |

| Getting splashed with water in many cases is fine. Submerged in water is not good. The problem is that where the tabs exit the cells there is a thin foam seal if water were to soak past that then yes you will have a problem. In most cases if your affraid of your Li-Po getting wet in a scaler I would suggest a large balloon wrap or a zip lock baggie with a corner cut for the wires to exit. The a littel silicone to seal up that exit hole and the wires. We have a lot of customers that run Li-Po's in there boats and they get wet quite often but I have yet to hear of any major issues. But be aware that it could happen. Take care, Jason |
