Default Battery size...

What are people's opinions on batteries? I want to hike with my clod when it get it done, total hike usually takes an hour to an hour and a half, but would probably be longer with the clod, since I'd play. I don't mind carrying a couple packs in my pocket.

I was thinking 6 cell GP3700s from cheapbatterypacks.com. Done up nice they'd run me $44. I don't see anyone else running batteries this big though, so that's why I'm posting.

Truck is(or will be) CX2 Clod, 55t lathe motors wired in parallel I think, 9t pinions, Super Rooster, two 645MGs, stock clod tires for now, but probably something 40 series in the future.

I was thinking I might bring one of my 8 cell GP3300 packs from my helicoper for driving between crawling spots.

Thanks

-Jay

With the excitement/onslaught of the GP3300s, everyone likely has enough new batteries to not warrant buying more, like new 3700s.
3300s with two Lathes on 9 tooths will get ya almost an hour and a half anyways.

Yes, in parallel.

There's a new trend picking up slowly, small batteries. Like AA, 2/3A, 4/5A.
More cells, like 7, 8, or 9. At half the weight of a 6 cell Sub C. And still getting 20 minutes. Or LiPo batteries even.

Yeah if I got into competition I could see building some special batteries to get the CG as low as possible. Thanks for the reply, I think for hiking I'll get a couple GP3700 packs. Thanks.
