Couldn't agree more but the OP is trying to find some place that has them in stock. TCS doesn't at the moment. I must have bought the last two from TCS late last week.

Default FX-R Problem

First, I love the FX-R. Second, there is a problem with both the ESC's I bought. They do not work well with a 3s lipo , Mine both glitch the steering. When used with a 2s lipo, all is well. I had to run a cc BEC to fix the problem. I run 55 t and 65 t in both rigs and the same problem occurs. The internal bec is not up to snuff with only 3 amps. Just my opinion.

Do both of your motors have caps on them? That could make them glitch, I know mine does a bit without them. I think an external BEC is just going to be part of rock crawling, I have one and I have no complaints running one either. With such power hungry servos, dig units and winches, I think it should just be part of the setup.

You do understand adding voltage above 7.2 reduces the amperage output for the internal BEC....

3S = on all ESC's you'll be running an external BEC.

I too have had glitching from my FXR. Whenever I turn...the motor surges. My integy 65t didn't come with any caps, could that be the problem? I am using an AM radio. What caps should I buy and install?

I agree it works great except for the sudden lurches from the motor. Can make it quite unpredictable.
