Default Signal wire from the CC BEC do anything?

Does the signal wire from the CC BEC do anything? I'm in the process of wiring my CC BEC to power the steering directly while the Tekin FXR BEC powers only the dig servo.

Only for programing the ccbec, i normally plug mine into a y harness and send one to the steering servo and the other to the dig servo, then on the servo side only send the signal wire to the rx. this way the amp draw doesnt affect the rx.
