Default Info Brushless motor and ECS

I am looking at a brushless motor (BM16 brushless) and a ECS (quark procar 33 Ecs).. Will this work on an axial?? will the motor alone work with a mamba max ECS???.. What kind of battery would be required to run this...

Thank you , I am a newbie and looking at an axial built by some one else , that is for sale..He does not have the Brushless or the Procar ecs on the rig just want to make sure they will work also, Dont want to pay for something I dont need...

yah it should work. outrunners dont normaly put out that many amps and i have seen people use them on a mamba max 1/18th scale esc. also the bm16 would work but seems like a lot of motor for a axial. i would go with the bm9. would be a little bit better for a 2.2 the bm16 is for like a super.

hope this helps

Why specifically are you wanting a brushless set up? Why not try it brushed first, before spending more money right off the bat?

its about the same for a brushed or brushless

brushless

-bm9 - 30$
-sidewinder or mamba 25amp esc - 75$

total - 105$

brushed

-rooster crawler and novak motor combo - 110$

total 110$

so its about the same.

As I stated this is not my rig someone has built it and has it up for sale... AS IS...I wanted to know if I was wasting money on the extras that he has included... He wants 445.00 for the rig,,, Mamba max, ecs, V-10 55turn, CC bec. Extra set of alum beaslocks and tires... And the addtional items I was asking questons on....Seems like the extras are not worth the final price...
Thanks for the help everyone...

The CC Mamba esc gives a lot of control of functions, especially the drag brake settings.
The 55t motor he has with it will be great out of the box with that setup.
Is the Mamba the 1/10 scale, or smaller?

The CC BEC is the best around.
Ask him how old it is and if it has ever glitched. There were a batch of those around with some problems a while back.
Great BEC that you can program the voltage output to the servos!

Is he giving you the 'Castle Link' with it?
USB programming cord to set the ESC and BEC.

Yes it does come with the USB cord etc.. Dont know how old it is ... all I know is it is the mamba max ECS, I did not know that the max was for different scales..The only thing the mamba does not have is the CD,, He said I could down load info from the CC site....Why do you think his asking price is reasonable???
