motor troubles, or maybe esc

starts off going, but when you stop it doesn't always start back up, but if you give it a push, turning the motor it takes off. this happens frequantly, its an integy 55t motor & mamba max esc

Your motor needs a comm and brush cut, almost guaranteed.

Montigo 08-08-2008 06:24 PM

looking at it right now, it looks like one of the brushes isn't in all the way, it's a brand new motor btw

JohnRobHolmes 08-08-2008 06:28 PM

See if you can free up the brush. It should spring back and hit the comm when you pull on the little copper braid a bit.

alright, i"ll try that right now, btw, did you know you sent me two bags of castle creation bullet connector's when i bought one? this was prob a week ago about

Montigo 08-08-2008 06:48 PM

now it won't go period

JohnRobHolmes 08-08-2008 06:49 PM

I probably sent two bags on purpose, don't worry about it.

Are the brushes free sliding in the brush holders?

Montigo 08-08-2008 06:52 PM

uhhhh there is a spring pushing on them, i pushed in on the brushes and it seems to be working

JohnRobHolmes 08-08-2008 07:01 PM

Right. If you take the spring off, do the brushes slide in and out smoothly? Probably a hung brush.
