| DX3R and SR 3000
I have a dx3r and it works great with my sr 3001. But i bought a new sr3000 and i can not get it to bind up. I push and hold the bind button and flip the power on (sidewinder esc) then i push the bind button on the 3r and nothing happens. I have read that you hit the bind button on the 3 r when it flashes green but do you let go of the bind button? If not how long do you have to hold the bind button for it to bind. Is it the first set of flashes right away as soon as you power up. Thanks i have been trying for about an hour |

I would call Horizon customer service. They are great. Plus, if you have to return something, they can expedite it.

If I am not mistaken, the DX3R is a DSM2 system and requires a DSM2 RX (SR3100). The SR3000/1 RX is DSM not DSM2. I run a DX6 radio that is DSM. I run the AR6000 RX. Guys that run the DX7 (DSM2) cannot use an AR6000 RX. They have to use one of the many DSM2 compatible RX choices. I am almost certain that this same protocol issue is what is causing your problem. |

The SR3000 will work fine with the DX3R. http://spektrumrc.com/FAQ/tm.aspx?m=53 I think you're just not binding the Rx correctly. Follow this procedure: 1. Make sure the transmitter and receiver are turned off. 2. With the receiver off, press and hold the bind button on the receiver. 3. Turn on the receiver while holding the bind button. 4. Release the bind button when the LED flashes green. 5. With the transmitter off, place the transmitter sticks and auxiliary channels in their desired fail-safe positions, normally brake and straight ahead steering. 6. Press and hold the bind button on the transmitter module. 7. Turn on the transmitter while holding the bind button. 8. Release the bind button after the green LED flashes. |
