| Futaba Brushless Servo (BLS352)
What is the verdict on this series of servos from Futaba? I have searched and found really no reference to them on this forum. I won one at a comp yesterday, and am curious if it is worth my time to work with, or if it is best to just find another use for it.

Nice win!!! The BL servo supposedly uses less current and runs cooler. Other than that it is similar to other digital servos. The output at 6V is 250oz/in and .15 sec. |

I am really looking for more of an answer to questions like: 1. How durable is this really? 2. Has anybody used one? 3. If you have used one, what did you like/dislike about it? 4. Are you still running it, or did you put something else in? 5. Does it really use less power due to it being brushless? 6. Is the quicker speed really realized? 7. Have there been a lot of "burned up servos" of this series? 8. Is it worth the $160 that Tower is asking for them, or is it Hype? 9. Should I just dump it on eBay? 10. Other opinions/reviews? I have the specs of it's performance....I have the box. I am looking for "real world" application experiences. Thanks in advance for any input. Thanks. At that comp....CED got first...I pulled 2nd. Jeff (Jetboat) hosted a nice event. | |

Those haven't been out very long, just introduced this year. So there isn't too much anecdotal information yet. However, if I were to base on my experience with the three Futaba digitals I have in my 1/8 buggy & truggy I would say that, generically, they will outlast JR and Hitec (burned out both in my truggy). The 9350, 9351 and 9451 have been working perfectly for three to four years and still going strong. I'll buy it off of you if you don't feel confidence in it. |
