Default Lipo transmitter pack for Futaba

I would like to upgrade the battery in my 3PK. A 700 mah nicd just isn't gonna cut it.

Who has bought lipo packs for your transmitter? Any thing I should know? What about the LVC? Do I just watch the voltage?

I have found a couple but just want some feedback before I pick one up.

i have been using the pro-tek 3s 3300mah pack from a-main for about a year with great results. the only drawback is that it doesn't have a balancing tap. you can use it for a looooong time before a recharge!

I've been using a True RC 2650mah pack for several months now and it is nice to race all day without any concerns about the pack. I estimate that it will provide about 15 to 20 hours of use but I usually top it off after 5 to 6 hours. This one has a Polyquest tap (Hyperion) for balancing. Cost $40.00 at the LHS.

Common Sense also has one, as does Much More racing.

I would not want a low voltage cutoff in a radio. The radio says the voltage on the screen. Just make sure you watch it. If you don't have your failsafe set or set correctly when your radio does shutdown, you could have some interesting results. I remember putting my buddies 10 scale buggy down and shutting the radio off first. All of a suddn the buggy was half wa across the parking lot.

I'm using a King Power 2500 LiPo. I have gotten over 22hours on a charge before I wasn't comfortable using it and charged it. It has an internal balancer on it, no external lead. No idea where to get it though, a buddy grabbed this one for me.
