| xl size motors
hey guys i have a question. it might be a stupid one but its worth a shot lol i was wondering if any one has ever dont or thought about using a 9-10xl size motor. i say this cause they have tons of torque (made my revo do a backflip form stand still on 4cell lipos) and they have the low kv and with a 2 cell or a 3 cell could be pretty slow and might work for crawling. i was just wondering what you all think about this idea. |

These motors all have a huge amount of low end cogging, being that they are not sensored they make for a very choppy experience at best. Plus you have to run 32 pitch with these since you need a 5mm shaft pinion, getting a crawler friendly gear ratio is difficult at 32 pitch. |

I've got some XL and L cans running on mamba's with no cogging. RC4WD has some 5mm pinions that will work on the ax10 too. I don't think you'll need the XL, but what does need have to do with it? i was thinking rock racer. |
