Default heat?

I took my truck out for a quick run today now that i got it all together and i ran it fo probably 5-10 mins and it everything was either warm or hot. i had a rooster, tq3, 6.0v Rx, 7.2v battery, 27t johnston motor, and a cs-73. the motor was really hot and i have lot of gear reduction, the rooster and the servo were both getting warm too, the weather here is getting close to 30*C but i didn't think that would affect it that much, is it possible that i hooked something up wrong? everything responds just fine. any help would be great.

Well if it's getting hot, but still working, that probably means nothing is hooked up wrong. I don't have experience with that exact setup so maybe someone else will have a better answer. If it were me, I'd go over the drivetrain and make sure nothing is binding. As long as it all spins free then I'd drive it until something stops working, then figure out why. I don't think any of that stuff should be getting too hot on ya though.

ya its probably has something to do with the drive train... if you hooked something up wrong... like a black to a red and a red to a black or u shorted something out you would have noticed right away.

Is The 27t Johnson Motor Timed At 0 Degrees? I Am Running A P2k Motor Which Is 27t 24 Degree And It Also Runs Hot. I Checked It With My Buddies P2k And His Also Runs Hot So I Thought It Was Just The Way These Modified Motors Are.
