I'm having trouble figuring it out, and I need a new esc. I like the double pump reverse style, that is where the first push of the trigger is breaks for as long as you need it, then the second push is reverse. I know the futabas do, but seening as my last one just dies for no reason, I'm not buying another one.

If you are running a TLT this ESC works well and is cheap and has the double pump reverse you are looking for; http://www2.omnimodels.com/cgi-bin/w...I=TAMM3229&P=7 Another advantage is it has a lead from the ESC to the BATT terminal on the receiver so the servo gets more juice. I don't know how well it would work on a heavy rig with 4WS though. I'm just running a TLT with a lathe motor and front steering only. David

Davkin, I'm pretty sure it is made by futaba, so I'm not buying it. moonbuggy, that is a bit of overkill for a tlt, or any crawler in general :-P Anyone know how the reverse on this works? I like the fact that it's water proof.

That doesn't sound like a very good esc if it fried on a tlt w/ a lathe. Did they warenty it? What kind of reverse did it have?

Ok I have to chime in I got the quantum reverse and it lasted all of 2min before reverse went south. Running a tlt comp with a 55lathe 6cel and a 5645 hitec Only thing I can figure is the late pulled more than the esc can take for amps. 5min continous is only 30amps Or the servo killed it. But just maybe it was a freakish flaw in the particular unit?? Personaly I loved its size and weight. A super chicken bothered me with ist 4oz (3times heavier than most reverseable esc) Its girth and horrible wire management. BEC current on most lrp is 2amps Im sure enough for 1 servo vs the superchickens 3amps ( 5v vs 6v respectavily) funny thing is my crusty LRP F1 Power runs my set up just fine even with a 8cel half A pack Last edited by Madkoifish; 08-12-2005 at 06:10 PM.

This doesn't answer your question, but in reference to esc's frying for no reason you have to look at the Amps in forward/reverse the esc put out. If you are constantly getting in a bind and nearing torque stall on these motors you could possibly be drawing Amps than your esc can handle.

That's true. You can fry any ESC if you get in a bind and just hold the throttle open for at least a few seconds. David
