I know there probably is not perfect servo out there that can handle all the stress a 10lb. + rockcrawler can dish out, but what is your vote for the closest? Recommendations from 1/10 scale or larger rigs please, no 2.2's (just want apples vs. apples).

I say futaba servo's all the way. I've got some 645's and have broken them a few different ways. I ran a S3305 on my TXT it needed more torque but it didn't fail. I now run them on TLT's and have had no issues.

hobbico cs80. Broke 3 645's. Never tried other brands but I am pleased with what I have now. I pull the shafts out of rod ends and break knuckles now before the servo goes.

Hitec HSR 5995 333 oz Torque @ 6 volt Only time I had a problem is when I let several small kids drive my truck for 30 min, and the servo over heated. Now I have EPA on my radio and even that should not be a problem again. BTW Hitec repaired it at no charge!

Futaba's 3305s are pretty good, almost a direct comparison to HiTec's 645s. I've used both, and they both worked well. | |

Airtronics 358 – 200oz at 6.0 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id=2803 Airtronics 359 – 200oz at 6.0 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id=2454 Hitec 5995 – 333 oz at 6.0 http://www.hitecrcd.com/Servos/hs5995TG.htm JR DS8611A – 282 oz at 6.0 http://www.jrradios.com/Products/Def...odID=JRPS8611A So far I like the JR - maybe that is because I have used it more than the rest. For the big crawlers I find the 358 and 359 are a little weak but I am in some hard/large rock areas and the extra strength is nice with the 5995 and the 8611 to get the tire to move the crawler if needed. Just my opinion.... Ed
