How is the drag brake? Does the slow down when coasting. I drove a friends crawler (brushless goat) and it seemed to speed up when going down hill. I like when I lift off the throttle the stops(brushed motor).

Looks impressive, I'm glad you finally got it working.
Very interested in getting my hands on these when they hit production.

As for colour... anodized red sounds pretty slick

I'm leaning toward Raw or Red. I like the idea of raw.

These will be available to everybody, not just team members or limited production runs. I don't work like that, and won't try to play up some "hurry" hype. Availability may be scarce at first since we will do a smaller run to ensure that everything is built as planned, but after that we will keep these on the shelf as a normally stocked item.

I hope it still hauls ass in water, muddy water and heavy dust.

Any color will do, just etch your logo on it for authenticity.

Nice work, by the way.

Cheers.

This motor won't be the best choice for water use, because it can't be sealed. It will work however, but the lifespan will be reduced and the likelyhood of debris damage is high.

For people wanting underwater use motors I have a different line in the works.

I drove the proto motor at Nats and loved it! The low speed was amazing and I couldn't get it to cog like I am used to with the old outrunners I used to run. I can't wait to throw one in my sportsman rig.

+1 vote for Raw.

Are you going to have equivalent to 17.5T BL?

When one hits the shelves for the MRC & 1/18 LCC... I will be all over it.. coming from planes I know the advantage of outrunners, adding sensors to it for crawling will make this the end all be all motor.. Only holmes can say he done it first!

Congrats on getting the motor worked out John! I know it has been a long term progect for you and it is so cool to see it come to fruition. I am bummed I missed it at nationals, but I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on a couple.

On color, I'd say red or blue.

Will the plain (non-pro) Mamba Max control censored motors as well?
