Yeah, we can do that. I plan to carry loose parts here for custom builds, and we can certainly do longer shafts too.

Looking forward to this becoming available. I think this will be the best motor out of the ones that I've looked at for what i want to do with the Wraith. Now just to wait for this to be released.

History takes time to make... there are no other sensored outrunners made. If you can bolt up a 540 then this motor will fit but be a lil too much, which is just about right in any situation |

| Homemade controller problem
I built a ESC based on MC33035 IC.http://roboturk.googlecode.com/files/MC33035-D.PDF The circuit is analogical with a input potentiometer,brake pin, current sense pin,pwm optional pin,and an optional ic for loop control. It has a hall sensor for reading the position of the rotor. the circuit is working but not so well. The motor is an outrunner Emax BL4030/10 with 12 poles and 14 magnets. The problem is that it has pin 22 for selecting the 60 electrical degree or 120 electrical degree. I set it initial at 60 degree and i tried all distances combination between the sensors ,not working well because it has a FAULT led that is stopping the motor if the sensor reading is not correct. If i only leave a sensor the motor will spin but only if i spin with my hand at initial moment. I tried also with 120 degree setting.Bot not running smooth only if i turn it with my hand and only if i use one sensor. Here is an animation with order of all hall sensors . 4-POLE BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR ANIMATION In the animation the sequence is 1 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 1 0 1 I never achieve this logic diagram with my sensors. In my motor one sensor in piking only 2 consecutive logic 1 not tree. Can anybody tell me what is the problem because i tried all the positions. IN the animation diagram the motor is in-runner and the rotor has 4 poles. We are getting back on track with this motor. The next round of prototypes is being made now, I am looking for about a 8 week turnaround before I see them. I had to redesign the sensor PCB myself which took a long ass time since I don't exactly have much time left in my days between packaging orders and winding/ building motors. Still on slate though! iulian, Do you have a debug mode where you can watch the hall sensors switch? You may consider putting an LED in series with them so you can watch the sensors switch and be sure it is never triggering more than two sensors high or low at any time. What is your hall sensor spacing, in degrees? On such a small motor there will be a very small window if sensor placement for proper commutation, and there are many combinations of sensor/ phase wiring that are wrong. First you must ensure that the hall sensors are placed and firing correctly. Then you can find the correct commutation sequence for the controller. |
