If it was supposed to not have a clip. It would not have a groove. I would rather have the security of knowing it is held together by more than magnetism.

No circlip because they don't need it and it makes cleaning and repair easy. The option to install one is there, but we don't on purpose.

That is originally what I thought Josh
But there is no need for any at all.

Corey I read you were going to put it in the Losi. Did it have enough guts for it?

It certainly did. I just didn't like all the wires and stuff associated with sensored and the CC BEC and the layout of the Losi. Call me particular about that stuff, though it's easier to be when you got a few choices on hand. Before I went to the BA Bronco thread I was looking in the Losi thread but got tired of flipping through all those pages.

Wiring is easy for me. I am not picky. Just wad them up and put zip ties around them.

Curious to hear what you think of these fancy little motors Devlin

5lbs is nothing for these little motors I'm around 8lbs with 80-90f temps after hard running. Plenty of torque to flick the 1.9 growlers around.

I read back through the thread and it seems like the MMP is the goto ESC for this motor any reason to go with the monster or monster 2¿

Only if you really must.
Otherwise it just adds cost, weight and size. And it can't handle sensors.

the mamba monsters don't have a sensor port...only the MMP does.

I missed that one. Thought all Mamba-series ESCs are as versatile as the MMP...

Dang, already sold out of the standard 540 size. When are more of those and more of the 550 models expected JRH?

A little tip for those new to these motors. They have more torque than you know. I have been competing a year with one in my class 3. Geared 25/80. They pull tall gearing really well and still creep slow. 3 or 4s is fine.

Anyways just a tip. Don't be afraid to gear it tall

^ Great advice. I have my first two on the way. 1 will be going into a D110 that will probably weigh well over 10 lbs when all is said and done. The other probably will go into a multi-axle this spring. As you suggest, I'll start tall on both and go from there.

Will the gen2 in 3s still run this 540? Out of stock right now. Any idea when be back in? I like the idea of 32p 18/58. Thoughts?
