Two friends of mine both bought revolver s's. One bought it for each rig. He runs pro 4's.

Now one roc412 and two pro 4s are up for sale.

But can't wait forever either.

I think a lot of people have went with these pro4's and 412's sacraficing that low speed control for power and speed. The revolver gives you that low speed control needed for precise crawling. And it still has the torque needed for launching your rig through the air.

Kind of like a good brushed motor on steroids. It's not the perfect motor for everything. Speed freaks and bashers won't benifit much if at all with it. I like it for competition.

^^^ spot on. Also it seems the brushless freewheeling problem is not as bad with the revolver s, as opposed to the inrunners.

^^^^ That's the first thing I noticed also. Easier start up and down hill descent supurb. Compared to my roc 2600.

Save the money, on the Pro4.. Buy a Trailmaster till the Revolver comes back around..

I know guys selling the ROC's and Pro4's for Trailmaster's.. I've replaced a couple of mine myself.

I'm loving my Trailmaster, and you might see some of them up for sale when the Revolver is back in stock!

Is the trailmaster pro brushless a good motor for my yeti? I bought a rx8 gen2 and am currently running a castle 1410 3800kv. I have a holmes BR-XL and crawlmaster in my wraith and i am very happy with it.

My first run with it the settings were 2s profile 1
Drag 80 and on dual mode.
No heat but no speed.
Then started tuning esc

Trying to run 3s:

Sensored only.
Custom voltage 3.3
Dead band 10
Drag 80
C1 throttle
no punch
Boost timing 0*(min)
No current limit.

I would suggest folks needing a motor right now or soon to go ahead and buy something else, it is going to be a while.

We are having some forwards / reverse precision issues with certain motors or ESCs or programming. Where the driver can't rap the motor back and forth without it loosing sync at some point. I think one point we should address before going further is the particular wind pattern used, it has a floating zero reference that changes with rotation direction. I need to test some other patterns and see if the factory can improve their alignment jig. Because of this, the current style of 35mm OD Revolver is going to take a while to bring back into a regular inventory swing.

I've been working on a 32mm OD 2nd Gen and we should be able to get it into rotation sooner. It has better precision of timing alignment and the proper wind pattern already solved.

I wish it was a little easier to get these 100% correct the first time around! But I suppose if it was easy then everybody would have done it by now. The hardest part is getting another factory to replicate what we want, and not having enough labor to bring the full assembly in house. Goal for 2015- if I haven't been able to get steady inventory of a sensored outrunner from a "regular" factory I will make a dedicated assembly line in our shop for them. Prices will have to go up, but a $100 or $150 price is still within the lower range of quality name brand motors I suppose.

Is this just isolated to just the stubby or both?

I must have got lucky. Both my standard size and stubby work perfect.

Both sizes can present the same issue. The evident cause is sensor alignment, the root issue is not the sensor location but the back EMF of the motors. Most motors work just fine, but there are enough to make me find the area for improvement.

Well, good thing I just picked up your Trailmaster BL to hold me over. Until then, I do hope you get things figured out soon. Keep up the great work John!

So what should I do in the meantime? I have a stubby I cannot use and I've had no response, a few days now, from an issue I filed with your website.

Thanks!
