Yeah, I just ordered my 1800kv. Now I'll have a 1400kv for sale.

Just bought one can't wait! I know this is going to be the best motor I've owned yet. Every experience with HH and outrunners has been a absolute game changer product. I just hope I don't like it to much and force myself to upgrade every rig I own.

Opinions on running two of the standard 1800kv models in tandem on a summit 2 speed transmission for a 1/5 scale build? Likely will end up at 25+ pounds when complete.

Found some motors in the 1800kv batch that were wound proper, but left handed. No big deal (for me at this point), it just has the sensor port on the other side now.

I've probably said it before, but getting these to market like any other motor has been anything but straightforward. But this new batch is so smooth driving, best production run to date. I'm glad I've been sticking with it. Now it needs some improvement to make assembly easier for us.
Hi John,
bought a 1800kv on Feb 12th, when are the motors going to be available for shipping?

We got faceplates machined this week, should have the last round of orders shipping on Monday.

Awesome! I purchased on the 12th as well and have been anticipating this one to arrive! I sent an email this morning asking for an update...I should have checked here first! Thanks John.

The stubby will be a month or two, stators and rotors being made right now.

It will be a week or two for 540's as well. We need to get finished with some backorder Pullers first, then we will assemble more revolvers.

Long term, I'm seeing we will need some further refinements to the sensor board to make them all perform at top level. A few of this batch didnt meet customer expectations, but the rest are performing well. We got the stator issues sorted , so now we can more clearly see the need of sensor signal improvement. Currently there is the possibility of too much jitter, which is when the signals have different timing. Being that 1 degree of position change is 7 degrees for the ESC, a half degree here and there is sometimes more than the esc likes. I have ideas (besides asking pretty please for more accurate board assembly) but it will take some time to test and execute.

In the short term we are only selling Revolvers direct to customers so that we can keep a tighter control of customer service while these final engineering tasks are completed.

Dang this motor is torquey! But so smooth and controlled, as well! I've had one sitting around for 6 months or so, and finally got my project done.
One question, though, is the crazy high pitched whine normal at high rpms? I've never heard another motor whine like this before... It's a really high pitch, pretty loud, gets really noticeable at about 50% throttle and gets worse as it goes faster.

That's normal. They are loud. Less so at higher switching frequencies.

Are there any plans to have a Holmes version of the castle X series? Ive loved my castle ESCs so far and definitely want sensored and the auxiliary wire in my next esc, but I'd really like to try an ESC with the Holmes firmware

They already have an esc for brushless sensored motors that uses the castle link for programming. its the BLE pro.

I realize that, I'm asking specifically about the castle X series that has the auxiliary wire.

Thanks! It's going to drive the dogs even more crazy, lol!
I'm hoping to get one of your BLE esc with the adjustable switching frequencies, do they make everything hotter?

Higher frequency causes elevated ESC temps because there is more time spent switching FETs through each cycle. Therefore, it is not suitable for rock racing hammer time driving. But it works well for tooling around slow with the occasional needed speed blip.

Having issues with my new setup. Any ideas? Revolver 540 1800kv with the trail master pro esc... Linked up to reciever no problem. Set up with castle link and everything works great with no load on it. But as soon as you try and climb it's like the motor just cuts out? Not to sure what's going on here. Hoping it's something just simple and easy since it's all brand new.

First question is, are you using a external BEC?
