Yah I'm hoping it's not a faulty sensor board... Picking up a bec to wire in and see if that helps first. Might be the problem. Can't see it being gearing since from what iv read these motors can take any gearing you throw at it. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk |

Maybe also try with another sensor cable/wire, that might also be a possible cause..

I was thinking that as the truck starts to climb the servo is fighting to keep the tires straight n overloads the internal bec... Sensor wire is new fresh out of the package from Holmes hobbies so you would think it should be good. Maybe I should try it with the servo unplugged climbing something. And see if it still cuts power to the motor. That would prove it's not a bec issue if it still glitches out?? Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk |

Well unplugged the servo and tried again with no change. So it can't be a bec issue I figure? Not to sure what to do now... Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk |

take a look at a former post #1108 on this thread (Sensored Outrunner motors- Revolver S) John is mentioning the sensor board... I will install and test my brand new revolver 540s this week, hope everything goes smooth and painless, I will inform you.. |

A few folks have opted to trade out for Puller Pro motors. They are more solid in regards to tolerance for sensor error, and the 540 size is closest in feel. The Revolver amplifies sensor error 7 fold, some test fine here but don't act happy in rigs.

Yah it must be the stater... Tested every possible option to try and fix the problem and like you said it bench tested perfectly.... What's the best way to send it back for a swap out? Do I need to email you the reciept? I'm still trying to decide if I should stick with the Revolver or switch it out for the puller pro. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk |

read this for info on returns and warranty. Warranty Information If you would like a return shipping label, send us an email. The Revolver is really it's own thing. They drive unique and when they are solid it is a pretty amazing motor. But it's been really tough to tackle the quality control because of the sensor sensitivity. So there could be the chance that it comes back and performs better, but still has random glitches. If you don't want to take that risk to get a unique motor, a Puller Pro 540 2200kv would be my personal choice for swapping out. |

I finally am nearing completion of my new trail rig and got to test out my revolver on the rocks. Holy dang!!!! That is the smoothest and most controllable motor I have ever seen!

| ![]() It's at least a year old, probably more. I got it used. It's the full 540 size. I believe it's the 2000, but I'm not sure. Really, I would love to know, actually. All I know is that it is basically everything I've ever wanted from an RC crawler motor, other than the noise, which is acceptable most of the time...

I would like to know what kind of maintenance I should do to a revolver if I use it in dry condition (only dust, NOT wet) Any special care? Last edited by slimfire; 05-19-2016 at 10:42 AM. Reason: mispelling |

HI guys, I have quick question, after taking a short break from R/C I want to get my SCX-10 Dingo up and running. I assembled the kit a couple of years ago and she's ready for electrics. Servo is installed, but not sure on ESC, Motor, and Battery. I would really like to go brushless, so here's the direction I'm headed. This is what I plan to order from Holmes Hobbies: Motor Option Any recommendations that may be a better fit? The Revolver is out of stock, not sure if I should wait for it to come back instock, or just go with another motor. Still need suggestions on battery, not sure whether to go 2s or 3s, so suggestion on both would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Last edited by Sluggo; 05-22-2016 at 03:02 PM. |

I run the Stubby 3300 with BLE ESC on 3S in my SCX10 and one other rig, and it's a great setup. Enough to lift the front tires off the ground but very smooth on the low (esp with an exponential throttle curve). Much more than you'd ever need, stays cool all day long, and run times are very long due to the low strain on the motor. The 2200 and 2700 Stubbies on 3S are also excellent choices with just less top end. IMO, the full size Puller Pro is overkill and not worth the added weight on an SCX10 (different story on a Wraith or other 2.2 rig). The Revolvers are great in their own ways, but better suited for heavier rigs where you need lots of low end torque.

I run the revolver stubby 2000kv on my SCX (3kg weight) with BLE pro on 3S and it runs great! Plenty of torque and enough well speed for my purposes ! I love this motor but I never tried a puller though
