Default Weird servo?? problem

Short story: when I turn the wheel on my transmitter, the wheels turn side to side as per normal, but the wheels turn backward as well, as if I had also pressed forward on the transmitter trigger.

I think I've narrowed it down to the servo. It's a 645, which I bought last week because my old Futaba S148 was really weak. When I plug in the Futaba servo, the problem goes away. This problem only started yesterday after I got home from crawling.

I've swapped everything except for the ESC; I don't have a spare.

I suppose that it's possible that the servo did get wet inside. Should I take it apart to check?

Another possibility is that my ESC(an ancient Futaba) can't handle a more powerful servo. But then why would it only start having problems now, instead of when I used the Hitec for the first time.

any suggestions would be appreciated

No, it's an ancient Futaba AM radio, an FP-2PB. Only adjustments on that are steering and throttle trim!!
