Default Anyone See This? DSM for $100

I just spotted this while checking out Horizon Hobby.

I'm really considering getting one, it would take some time to get used to using a 2 stick radio, but I could also set my dig up to have 4wd-freewheel-dig It would also be great to have for when I finish my super project, if I ever finish it

If the Elevon/Delta Mixing switch can work for front and rear throtle/Dig I bet it will be a decent radio. But I think the DX6 is not that much more and would be money well spent in the long run.

DX6 is double the coin. For some applications, it may be worth it. For others, this may work just fine.

Awe crap, LHS had them in stock.

I was saving for the DX3R, but I really like this, and the range is awesome! And no glitches!

I am interested in how you mix channels with it, not sure if you can simulate 3 position on the switches.

I saw those. I have a DX6, and want to pick up another radio, but don't like the pistols. I think this will be my next radio.

RPP posted up a thread, I'd buy from Corey before Horizon.

I had seen those, I would have bought it from Corey or another RCC vendor, but I support my LHS first, RCC Vendors second.

I might give one of these a try when I need to buy a radio.

no EPA's, 1 model set up.. no digital trims.. doesnt seem like that good a deal.. burn up a couple high dollar servo's cause you didnt have a EPA setting that would have paid for a real radio.

I have added end point adjustments to all my servos, its fairly easy, or if you have more money than time on your hands you can get a servo stretcher at www.servocity.com

I have been crawling around the house all day, and this radio rocks, I love it! And its easy on the batteries, I have had it on for about 5 hours, and it hasn't even dropped a level, it only uses 4AA batteries.

My servos are by no means high dollar, I'm using HD 9150's, $30 and 15.8kg torque rating.

I did it to my TQ3, and it should be able to be done the same with this radio, there is a sticky at the top of the "Electronics" forums. I'm using a hobby city servo stretcher on my dig servo for the time being, and I don't need end points on my steering servo. I'm not sure if I'm going to mod this TX for end points though, the servo stretcher is pretty small and simple to use.

Sorry I had a long day the other day and am tired today, I meant to say I added end points to my radio, not my servo.

Welcome to the stick radio club , Wheels may be the go for 2 ch buggy racing or onroad use but many comp crawlers are using 4ch these days and if you want to control them all proportionally with ease you need sticks. No more dig/rear steer modules on your truck, no more big ugly recievers that fill up your chassis. my 6100 rx's are almost as small as an FX-r and the AR500 that comes with the DX5e is going to be even smaller, +full range DSM2 signal that will be good for 1000'
GO SPEKTRUM STICKS!

I'm kind of wondering if I should have bought a stick rather than my dx3r...especially if I build a super.

That looks like a good little radio. I picked up a DX6 on e-bay for about $100 and am pretty happy with it so far!

It lacks EPA's and good mixing.
