Harley, On the RC Mart site they list 2 types of 4 channel recievers for the 4PK. A R604FS and a R604FS-E, the E being for "electric cars only".Can you enlighten me on this,I can't find the "e" on the Futaba web site. I'm looking to retire my Nomadio Sensor but don't want to go backwards, the only thing holding me back is the 4PK doesn't have readouts fron the receiver,IE RX voltage and motor temp. |

Before I go tearing into my radio is there an easy way to adjust the dials? they seem to stick out alot better on the back side than the front.

Anyone have problems with the receiver overheating and going into failsafe? Want to get the 4PK but the horror stories are making me hesitant..

I didn't know there were horror stories? I have 3 receivers, they all have been fine. One of my favorite r/c purchases ever. |

| From what I heard that was only occurring in fully sealed radio boxes and was poorly documented. I have run a 604 Rx in a Slash radio box (fully sealed) all day at the races, in a warehouse that was 100*+ inside. I am certain that there is no problem with heat.

Yep it's well documented at the 4PK thread at rctech. Just want to be sure before I pull the trigger. Thanks for the input guys.

The overheating issue is very well documented, even some tests showing how they thermal. Never really heard of an issue in an electric, it is the nitro, especially 8th scale, where the problems seem to be.

| Yup thats the only time there were ever any problems. Most just drill a bunch of holes in the radio box to get fresh air in there and all the problems went away. I think the temps were upwards of 150 before going into failsafe.

| So we are talking 8th scale here? How long was everything running before failsafe was entered? Any specifics on the vehicle (heat sources near the Rx box)? Ambient conditions?
