I first asked about this after messing around with it for about 12 hours in total. I want my dig switches to be the same as my XR10 but want linear rear steer, same and opposite. I still haven't received a good answer about this and at the time Harley didn't have his 4PKS yet.

Does anyone have any idea's on how to use the 4ws set up the the 4PKS has?

rear steering=DT1@50% increments.
is there a way to mix the front and rear servos and still use PS2 for rear dig?
I guess I would have to use the ps3 up on the top??
does anybody even mix front and rear servos on supers or do they just have preset increments?

clear as mud??

Man, sorry I missed yours! There just isn't a way to have front and rear dig plus mixed steering. There just aren't enough mixes in the 4PK.

so for some reason I'm having one hell of a time setting up my super controls...I'm hoping you can help?

here is what I want...

ps1=front ESC on/off
ps2=rear esc on/off
dt3=front esc mixing at 5 increments
dt2=rear steer in 50 increments
dl2=rear steer in 20 increments

front servo is in ch 1
front esc is in ch 2
rear esc is in ch 3
rear servo in ch 4

I cant seem to figure what im doing wrong but the mixing is not working on the esc....I can go +100 or -100 and the esc never changes speed...I have the esc wired

what settings do I need to apply to make this work?? or am I still trying to make the 4pk do something it's not capable of???

It has to do with you trying to do the mixing backwards. You need to mix the rear motor like I show. The mix for the front is to KILL the motor, not to mix it. So switch your mixing and it will be fixed.

You must be running the old setup with the front ESC in channel 3 and rear in CH 4 then?

Man, I really apologize if this has been covered 1,000x. I searched this thread and tried to browse 83 pages, but I am two hours into finding what I think should be a simple answer.

I have dual esc, watched the video and have everything setup per the video.

I do not want the PS buttons for dig. I would really like my DT3 to run my dig just like my 4pl did (front dig, 4wd, rear dig).

Help?

Edit:

I think I found the answer and I am not sure I like it.

I think I could get used to using the PS2 but I loathe using my thumb to dig. I really, really hope this is not the case. If it is, anybody need a good used radio? LOL

The 4PK only does it on the PS buttons. Get used to them though, its a MUCH better setup.

I'm attempting to set up 4ws and a winch on a rig of mine and am having issues with channel 4 slaving channel 3 when activated.

I went in and used the 4WS setup option through the screen and set it up according to a tutorial.

I have the 4WS set up on PS2 with the winch on DT3. As far as I can tell, I have no other functions tied to any other switches or any other mixes activated.

When I activate 4WS on its own, it works how it's supposed to activating only channel 3.

When I activate the winch on it's own, it works properly only activating channel 4.

When I activate the winch when the 4WS is activated (or 4WS is activated during winch use), it kicks the rear steering to 100% travel in the direction that the winch activates.

Whats odd is that when the steering is held to full lock by the winch control, the front steering works normally, yet the rear steer channel neutral got shifted to the new position. Rear steer will only add to the new neutral position, yet will not go anywhere less than the new neutral. It will not go anywhere less than 100% travel, yet will sit at 100% and add to it (100%+). Make sense?

Any ideas on what I ended up missing?

Few local guys I showed this to didn't have any ideas.

Marcus
Harley.

By any chance have you had a chance to mess with this? I still haven't found any additional mixes on.

It just feels like channel 3 is slaved to channel 4 only when it's active.

So I went back through and set everything up just like your vid....it's working great right now...but I gotta ask you guys..
Don't you ever feel like you need to overdrive the rear esc more then 120%?? When my rig is on a climb and all the weight transfers to the rear and clod stall comes in 120% does not make the stall go away the front still spins fast and the rear still stalls..... I just feel like turning down the front esc would work much better to get both axles moving at the same time....
Can't believe I'm the only one who feels this way?

If I plug the rear esc into channel 2 and the front esc into chan 3 would I be able to mix the front instead of the rear with out issues??

Yes. I see people using less than 80% rear much more often then needing more overdrive. Never had any driver want to run that. I dip down to 60-70 percent all the time.

Lol I guess I'm just set in my old school ways....I just can't get used to turning the rear esc down and up to get it to drive how I want...
So that "yes" was a yes that I can swap esc channels and mix how I'm used to mixing with out issues?
Thanks for dealing with my weird set up qestions...
