Well with the upgraded button setup it is a great thing ( at least it should). That is the only thing I dislike on the 4pk, everytime I try to access a menu I gave to loose time because of the very bad jog. Anyhow I can't justify the extra price. One thing is for sure, NOW is a good time to upgrade because in a few months the 4Pk value will go down A LOT, considering also the 4PL comming out.

Not if Futaba strips some programming capability from the 4PL. We still need details on that radio though.

Not quite following what exactly is happening, but it sounds like you have a couple settings jacked. I would honestly just start with a clean model memory and run through my video once more and reprogram.

Harley i got a quick question for ya.
I picked up a 3ch RX to use with my 4pk and dual esc assuming it will work, because with your set up i only use servo and 2 for esc's. Am i right in assuming i can put the 3ch in my berg and use the 4ch in the XR10 for when the cutting break comes along?

Yessir!

Make sure you switch the radio to C1 mode to use the 3ch RX

No problem man, sorry for the lack of specific trouble shooting for that problem.

I have my rear dig on the grip button and every time I turn the radio on I have to click it to get back into 4wd, how can I make it so it starts on?

That is not something that is able to be toggled. Just something that most people get used to.

Harley,
I am trying to program my new 4PKS.
I went through the video but I have a small issue.

Maybe I'm just not understanding correctly.

When I turn the radio on it will show PM2B: -100.
A pull of the throttle shows me that the rear ESC is "off".

If I hit my PS2 switch, it will then say P-MIX2 ON and I get 4wd.

But then if I want to adjust the mix, it doesn't show me the percentage, just that PMIX2 is on. I have to pull the throttle to see where I set it by comparing the bars. Is there a way for me to see the percentage adjustment on the screen while in 4x4 without having to pull the throttle?

Also, as long as PMIX2 is on, if I turn PMIX 1 on or off, it just beeps and doesn't say anything on the screen. I have Pmix 2 off it will tell me when Pmix1 is going on and off but only when pmix 2 is off. Is that normal?

I have also noticed that if I have PMIX1 off it will show me the percentage of PMIX2.

AND I noticed that if I have Pmix 1 off .... and I move the throttle back and forth, there is a little bit of feedback on the channel 2 bar. IE if I an full throttle with just the rear ESC, when i let go the front ESC blips.

for AA's? There is a link in the first post to make one for the 4pk which should be the same for the 4pks?...the one in the original 4pk manual is not available if its the same part number.

Locked up I will try and get you an answer ASAP. I do not have a 4PKS yet and this definitely sounds different than what I have experienced with the 4PK. I will call Jason in the morning and have him get you a response.

^ That.

I haven't done the mod to mine, but Sarge's guide is easy to follow.

Thanks.
I found his link right after posting and tried to delete the post before anyone came across it. You are too fast for me though.

You'd think by now I'd know to search on here first and not silly old google.

Thanks Harley. I'm hoping I just did something wrong. I went through the setup again then started fumbling around with the other settings but didn't make a difference. I'm out of town today/tonight so I won't be back to it till Friday evening and I'm sure by then you'll have it figured out.

I talked to Jason this morning. There is some difference in programming and we are working on the best possible new setup. Right now it looks like I may suggest you change the display type from SRV View to Trim Dial. I am working on either swapping out my radio or getting a 4PKS to use to set this stuff up.
