| tx Rechargeable batts
i hate spending about 10$ every month or two for tx AA batts. so i found this on towers site, duratrax tx rechargeable batts , it looks like it will work.? it will pay for it's self after 3 or 4 months. i have a traxxas tq3 (i'm not using the 3rd channel), will the duratrax batts work? is there a better and cheaper rechargeable tx kit? thanks colin |

The rechargable kit will work on any tx that has a charge jack built in. If it doesn't have a jack you can always modify it with parts from radio shack, you would need a receiver jack, dremel tool, soldering iron and some time. I did it on an old JR and it worked pretty good. One thing to remember is when you go from regulars to rechargables, you are lowering the voltage as well, which will in turn reduce your range slightly. Alkalines are 1.5 volts per cell versus 1.2 volts for rechargables. On an 8 cell tx you will go from 12v to 9.6. |
