Default DX3 throttle trim ??

I'm running a Tekin FXR Rx and 55t motor. I was trying to adjust my drag brake last night, and I somehow got all of the settings in the Rx all fowled up. I then tried to set the Rx throttle settings according to the directions, but the Rx wouldn't recognise the reverse signal.

After a few hours of having the 5,6 and 7th light flashing on the Rx, it jittered and the wheels started to turn slowly in a foward direction. I ended up having to get into the trim settings in the Tx and adjust the throttle trim to 70%, but then the truck came back to life and it seems to run better than it ever has before.

I'm completely baffled by it, but at least the crawler is running so I can run in the last comp of the year tomorrow. Has anyone else had to set the throttle trim up like that?

I put the wrong Tx in the title box, I have a DX3.0, if that makes any difference.

You should start all over, reset the ESC. When in doubt, reset!

But before you do, put your throttle trim back to zero.

Agreed. You need to start over.

Thanks for the advice. I gave it a try, but the Rx wouldn't accept the full 'reverse' throttle signal from the Tx. I reset the throttle trim to zero, reset the EPA's for throttle and steering back to 100, then did the ESC 'reset' routine. It simply will not acknowledge the 'reverse' movement from the Tx. Any ideas??

Is the ESC set for forward/reverse or maybe just forward/brake?

I found out the issue, the little black 'trim' switch had the trim at 60%, so even though I was adjusting the 'micro-trim' in the function screens, it really wasn't doing a damn thing. I have everything reset to normal trim settings, and the rig flies around the basment now.

I have no idea how long I was fighting with this hidden trim setting, but I'd guarentee it was the cause of a bunch of on going electronic glitches and issues I was fighting all comp season. Oh well, I'll be ready for the spring series!
