| affordable 3ch radio system?
I'm going dig finally, but I need to get a 3 channel readio. I'm looking for something affordable. I already have looked into the TQ3 but its 27 mHz and I have a ton of 75 mHz crystal sets. I was just searching around and found the Spektrum dx5e 5ch. stick radio system for under $100. Anyone heard anything about this? Any other suggestions? |

Sticks don't bother me much. My main concern with the stick setup is the possiblity of engaging the dig unintentionally ynless that 5th channel is on a toggle or something. I just waant something that is affordable and has easy to use third channel to operate the dig.

DX3 can be had for $120 and you never have to worry about glitches or crystals again.

| I've heard alot about the Spektrum but have never actually seen one. How does the third channel operate? Can it function all 3 dig functions properly or would I need to modify it?

I've been using a Hitec Lynx 3D that was on clearance at Hobby People a couple of years ago for $35,retailed for $172. It's FM,has a 10 model memory, extensive features, rechargeable battery pack & most importantly 3ch EPA's,making it great for a dig rig!!!

According to the website there are: DX3R, DX3S, DX3.0, and DX2.0. The manual for the DX3.0 says it has 3pos 3rd channel: http://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/F...30ManualHR.pdf | |

I will second the Lynx 3D, it feels good in the hand, 5 position 3rd channel, aa batteries or rechargable, available in single channel/ synthesized or you can even get a Spektrum 2.4 module set for it.
