Default motor wires

a couple months ago i bought a sidewinder mini esc and motor for my rc18t. now im planning on using the esc on my ax10. so should i cut the wires and plugs off of the mamba motor and sodder them on to the new 55t???

You can do that, or you can just get some new wire and plugs and solder them onto the new motor. I choose this method so that I dont have much work to do to use the old motor (or swap the ESC back to the rc18t). Here are the plugs and wires you will need:
