Default CC BEC causing glitch

I'm having a problem powering my servo directly with a cc bec.

The specs are:

DX 3.0
sidewinder esc
HH crawl master 850KV
12 cell Nimh

CC BEC @ 6volts
Hitec 645mg

the esc is plugged into and powering the Rx
The Bec is powering the servo
Servo yellow wire (signal) is connected to the Rx. Servo Red and Black (+-) are connected to the BEC. (The BEC is not plugged into the RX.)

I get a bad servo shake (glitch) when the throttle gets any input.

I have not tried it with a brushed motor yet.

Some insight would be helpful.

I had same problem . Mine ended up burning out after ten mins of messing with it. I have been thru three cc becs all but one hooked up right and they all burned out within one battery pack. if your sidewinder has a built in one i would just use it. I am using a rooster now and it runs my Jr 8711 just fine.

Why not try wiring it the way it's recommended on the packaging.

I've run countless CC BEC's this way and never had a problem.

I have run it like that but then you are running the Rx on whatever voltage you're running the servos at. You chance burning the traces in the Rx and ruining the rx.

three CC BEC's? you got something wrong... they're pretty bullet proof. one failed is reasonable, but three???

You say above your running the BEC at 6 volts to your servos. Do you not think that your RX can handle 6 volts? What do you think a normal dry cell rx pack is? Four AA Alkaline batterys are 6 volts (1.5v x 4). Most rechargable RX packs for cars are 6 volts (5 cell NiMh 1.2V x 5).

Believe it or not, RX's can handle more voltage than most servos can. That 645MG is going to die well before your spektrum RX will above 6 volts.

I agree with the other posters. Three BEC failures, your wiring something wrong.

Wire it like they reccomend & the manual says (it's there for a reason) and you won't have any problems.

I have not gone through 3 BEC's. That was someone else posting to this thread. I have no doubt that the Rx will work on 6 volts, the question is will the Rx handle the current (amp draw) that the servo will pull when locked up?
The traces inside the Rx are smaller than the wire supplying them. By powering the servo with the bec directly you bypass the Rx. My truck is wired like the link below.

That was me that went through 3 and the last 2 were wired like this link above. One glitched for 10 min and burned out other one made it about 20 mins.I have gave up on them. if they ever send back the last one i might try one more time.

I really don't see the reason for wiring the bec this way if you're running 2.4ghz. I've run CCBECs in everything from my crawler to my 1/8 buggy on 4s lipo, to my Savage on 4s with no problems. The CCBEC is rated at 10amps and can easily power 2 5995tg servos and a big Neu 15151Y on 14.8v in a 14lb Savage.

Before you waste money on the MM (the Sidewinder should be able to handle that outrunner), try wiring it up the recommended way first.
