The 1/10 ESCs from Castle Creations (Sidewinder, Max, Mosnter Max) will allow you to run brushed OR brushless. Cant beat that!

Are you going to run in comps? If not, the HPI GT is a good cheap alternative for bashin' around the back yard. You can usually pick one up for about $80 to $90. Probably even cheaper used if youy can find one on ebay. But if you are gonna run comps the Mamba is by far the way to go! Last edited by ohmyCLOD!; 11-30-2008 at 10:30 AM.

Sidewinder would be a cheaper good alternive but if you need one that is super cheap and have no plans of running it in a comp. Then you could getr away with a MOPED V16r. It is small cheap and can handle the 2 motors and 2 servo ok for a basher. Did I say it was cheap? $30.00
