IS it safe to connect a Thunder power 2s 8000 lipo IN Series with a Max amps 2s 8000 ? Looking at buying a 1 yr old used Thunder p lipo , is that risky and is it ok to connect to a new or used Max amps ? Thanks |

Max amps bats are fine. But if i was goin to run in series or parallel i would start with 2 new packs and charge run them together. Remember that lipo has a shelf life and i personaly would not buy a year old pack no matter who made it inless it is dirt cheap.

Don't mix and match cells in series. Parallel you can get away with as long as the packs are the same voltage.

good to know Whats the shelf life he said it has been cycled a handful of times. and still runs great, giving me 3 days to return it. I'm on a tight budget, any recommendations ? It's a Thunder power 2s 8000 for $50. retail $175. Problem is I need Two of these. |

3 years is the shelf life. Typical lipo will lose 20% capacity after 30 cycles if ran at continous discharge every time. If ran at lower rates, 300 cycles is easy to hit.

Man that last post was a good one John. LOL I saved the e-mail notification. That was simply classic. Sorry to see you deleted them all. I was hoping someone could have learned from it. Best regards, Jason |

Not much tech in it, so I figured I would clean up before it got out of hand. Some learning needs to be done for sure.
