| LiPo w/ Novak Brushless Goat Crawler
what batterys are you running with your brushless goat? it says "Input Voltage: 4-7 Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells (1.2V/cell) or 2S Li-Po cells" so is it max for 2S cells? next question is how many mah would you suggest, maxamps is saying 860mah. Any idea on how long that pack will last? Note: Im also looking for small size, so what is the min Mah you recamend (sp) Thanks.

are you running it in a saddle pack or 1 stick? where do you have your battery? you like the performance of the LiPo over NiHm?

The goat will preform equally well with either a NiMH 7.4v or a 7.4 2c Lipo the preformance is the same it's a matter of preference. I ran 7 cells the first season and couldn't tell the difference from the 6 cell packs 7.4 2c lipos. The most amazing thing about the Goat system is it's amazing preformace at lower voltages. Volt down gear up. I'm running a R2D with a 17 tooth pin plenty of tourqe and insane wheel speed. Last edited by Stormin2u; 12-04-2008 at 08:22 AM. |

I will say I didn't find any real difference bettween 6 and 7 cell preformance with my Goat so for the second year of using the system I only ran 6 cell saddles. You don't have any other choice with a Lipo but to run 7.4 v 2S pack your only choice will only be the mah. A 3S pack would jump you to 11.1 v and that woul kill your unit. I'm actually running a JP Custom 35x1 Warrior brushed motor at 11.1 v for the 2009 season my Goat is going into a scaler project. | |

If you have a 12 volt power source www.cheapbatteries .com has a great charger the Elite 5i and some good deals on batteries.

That is one nice thing about the Goat Systems the 2S limit does give you more 2S battery options for where you decide to place the pack. Charlie is still running their Axials on the 860's they got from us well over a year ago now. If looking for a charger check out the Hyperion EOS0606i AC/DC Balance charger. Both we at MaxAmps.com and Holmes Hobbies sell it and it's a perfect choice for your crawler pack needs. Jason |
