Default help pick radio system for Hitec HS-5645MG servo

these are the ones the hobby shop told me where compatible with
the servo. which is the best for a begginer and a person on a
buget. Futaba J, Hitec S, JR, and Airtronics-Z radio systems.

This topic gets covered quite a bit. You can run digital servos with out having a digital Tx, but at some point the servo will fail.

When I built my first Super I saved a few bucks by using the Hi Tec 5645MG's and a modded TQ3. I only had 1 fail due to a dead amplifier, but over 1 season I had to rebuild them 5 times because of stripped gears. What I learned from that is buy the best radio that you can, even if it's a bit over your alloted budget.

Do yourself a favor, and absolutely pick up a Tx with end point adjustments. I prefer JR/Spektrum myself and for $99.99 the JR XR2i is a great radio.

But if you ever intend on running dig you'll need a 3 position 3rd channel. My suggestion there is to look for a used first gen Spektrum DX3. Since you're on a budget that will be your best bet if you decide to go 3 channel. If money is no issue, pick up a DX3R.

The best brushed esc out is the Tekin FXR but if you don't have $100 to spend on an esc the Castle Creations Sidewinder would be my second choice.

I would definetly go with a 3 channel. You might think you don't want a dig now, but you might in the futuer and having the right radio will make it alot cheaper in the long run. Its always better to have more than you need than not enough anf have to buy a replacement radio later.

It will hold up just fine as long as you take care of it. Like any motor you will want to clean it with electronics cleaner after water runs and relube the bearings as well. Doing these things will help the motor life.

Tekin FXR has a Motor Limit of 12 turn but is it still ok to use it with a 7 turn and the Castle Creations Sidewinder said it is Intended for use with the Castle 4600KV motor does that mean i cant use the Cobalt Puller 7t.

The Fxr is gonna be your best choice. They only way to get the sdiewinder ot be as eiasy to program as the FXR is to buy a castle link and that will put them at the same price. Another advantage of the Tekin FXR is its size. It is one tiny esc and that makes for easy placement. Unlike the bulky Caslte esc's

The sidewinders defalt setting is for brushless and lipo. You will need to programit to run the 10t motor. The FXR is very user friendly and My 6yr old son can program it as long as he follows the well spelt out directions that come with it. Trust me the FXR is your best option.

one more question about the FXR it said it had a Motor Limit of 12 turn does
that mean i cant run my 10t or i have to progrm it for the 10t. thanks you have been a big help and will get alot of credit in my build for all of it.

Do not run the Airtronics MX-3 FHSS with Hites servos! The M11 DSSS is good just not the FHSS. They glitch & fry the servo, I know I just had Airtronics exchange one for a receiver & other stuff for my new M11 because it was frying servos. Don't get me wrong I still love Airtronics radios which is why I bought an M11 as a replacement but the MX-3 FHSS have known issues with Hitec servos. Hobby people have the M11 2.4 on sale in the store for $249 but not online.

Just an fyi so you don't get stuck with a radio you can't use.
