i was wondering if my ko propo 2.4 system will work with other rx's.... i bought it for the 4 channels to use on my super and 2.2 but i dont want to have to spend 132.00 for rx's for my race stuff too since i will only be using 2 channels....

basically no. most 2.4 in encoded thru the software it is using. and most of the software is proprietary thru the individual companys. But ive heard the new DX3S is said to run "other" rxs, but im not at all sure. Nomadio has a software for the React, which is DSM (Da Slow Mode) which will work with most the spektrum rxs. is one downfall to 2.4, no mix/matching rxs for the most part.

If you mean other RX's from KO Propo than POSSIBLY. Sometimes the bigger/newer radios like 4 channels will not use the "normal" 2 channel receivers. Example, to use Futaba 2 and 3 channel receivers with the 4PK you have to be set to the radio to a different mode. That is all I am basing this statement off of.

I would guess that you will only be able to use KO brand RX's but I would call to make sure. I don't know of many companies that want you to even have the option to use another companies RX's.

yeah i figured... i was just thinking that there was some sort of proprietary technology that they all used with their own little twist on it.

The DX3R is DSM2 tech. It will work a Losi 2.4 rx and it will work all other 2.4 made by Spektrum. It will automaticaly set for dsm or dsm2. I can not say about your radio. I would think it would. I have been told that the 4pk will only work with dsm2 but I have not read the manual. Going online now to see what I can find.

The 4PK works with other Futaba RX's but you just have to go in and switch one setting before you bind. It is very easy and quick. | |

Thanks, this is good to know about the 4pk. This will be my next radio if I can use my 1k worth of rx that are on hand. Had one in my hand but would not buy because LHS said it would not.

Yup, I was having trouble at first and then found out all I needed to do was make one little adjustment. It stays with the model memory too so you only have to do it once.
