Default radio questions

i have an old duratrax 3 channel radio made by futaba that is 27mhz and was wondering if i can use that for my ax10 and my nitro? but not at the same time?

i would put in a matching crystal into the reciever on the ax10 that matches the transmitter so i would not have to do any crystal swapping to run trucks.

will this work?

sorry i am cheap and hate spending money when i have something that can to the job.

some more info on the tx is that its a pistol grip with a trigger, steering wheel with steering trim, and reversable servo switches for the trigger and has a flip toggle that activate the fwd/rev on the nitro.
i have no planes for setting up dig on the ax10.

will this work?

Should work OK. You may have to change servo direction each time you change model if you don't have multiple model capability on that radio.
