Default Servo circuit board pico switch?

Had an idea that the circuit board of a servo might be able to be used for a pico switch. But I wasn't sure. If it controls electricity going to the motor then it works similair and the limiter switch can be removed/disabled too. what do you think. Also, using a volt meter, what should you check for, for trying to find out if the motor or the circuit board is bad? volts coming through or current/circuit?
