Default lipos from holmes hobbies please help

i figured i needed to buy the hyperion 606i so i mise well get some lipos, this charger even balances, charges, discharge, cycle, nimh, nicd,

so are the lipo from holmes hobbies any good?

i hear from what i read is "you get what you pay for" but i have to ask though.

so if they are good lipos than what would you suggest with a stock ax10 rock crawler kit (the green one you put together)with a hitech 645mg servo, mamba max esc and a 55t motor, cc bec and a traxxas 27mhz 2 channel reciever?

i want long run times, fairly light of trigger with the needed wheel spin but like to be able to full trottle it once and a while?

Yes he sells quality batteries. For long run times and if space isn't a huge concern, and with your set up ... I'd go with at least a 2200 3s. You should be looking for something like 20-25 C (continuous) if you like a little wheelspeed with good torque.

Yes, you will be happy with the LiPo's that John sells.
Since you want long run times go for the bigger 2200 mAh pack.
I assume when you say that, 45min -1 hour out of a 1320 mAh pack is not enough.

I run the PolyRC 2200 mah 25c 3 cells in everything,AWESOME packs. I know the rest of his packs are also high quality cells. Matching the C rating to your rig and driving style will help allot with longevity of your pack. If you think you may want to run a faster set up or something with more power in the future, you might consider a 25c (continuous)pack that way you've got a pack that'll handle things easily.

i think ill go with the poly2200mah 3 cell, how do i match the c rating with my rig?

so the mamba max say 100 amps continuous and the poly22 handles25c 55.0amp continuous, but is that per battery?

if so than that gives me 165 amps continuous and 330 amp burst?

oh yeah i want crazy long run times.

All three cells make up the battery. It's a single unit. A 25C continuous should handle anything you'd ever do. And that number is for the whole battery.

I ran my 2200 lipo I got from HH last week for the first time and got 1 and a half hours of run time before the lipo cutoff shut me down

sweet

hey i have a side bar question, looking at my nitro truck it runs to normal servos and a mg steering sevo but runs on 4aa 6volt batteries. would converting it over to a 5 cell 6volt 1800 mah nicd would power the heavy duty servo and two others? what about if i use the two standard servos and a hitech 645mg with the 5 cell 1800mah nicd? or should i go nimh?

What I meant by that is don't get a 15c rated pack, then try and run a 7t puller at 30:1 and expect your pack to hold up to it....specially if you do allot of full throttle assults. Running it that way, you'll swell the pack in a hurry. I feel it's best to buy a higher rated pack than you need. Then,if you decide to run a taller gear or hotter motor, your pack will still be happy.

I run my trucks with pretty tall gears and run 10t pullers in everything. The 25c rated packs don't even flinch.
